Review of 25th China International Furniture Fair (Guangzhou)
The 25th China International Furniture Fair (Guangzhou) (well-known as CIFF), in the hope of further liftoff of the furniture industry, featuring the latest trends of the furniture industry, was launched with the China International Outdoor & Leisure Fair (Guangzhou), Homedecor & Housewares China, China International Ceramics Exhibition (Guangzhou), China (Guangzhou) International Trade Fair for Home Textiles and China International Woodworking Machinery & Furniture Raw Materials Fair (Guangzhou)/interzum guangzhou, bringing unlimited opportunities to the industry.
The total area of CIFF exceeded 520,000 square meters, with 2,822 exhibitors participating in the fair. As the exhibition scale was expanded, there was an obvious increase in the number of buyers visiting the show. It attracted 147,393 visitors to the show, an increase of 8.1% over the same period last year, including 113, 203 domestic buyers and 34,190 overseas buyers.
Inspiring Events, Driving Creativity
CIFF, as a significant trading and communication platform for the whole industry, was held concurrently with the multilevel on-site events with different themes. The industrial professionals like associations, media, workshops, professors and designers were invited to participate, striving to promote the development of the furniture industry.
The 2nd Works Show of Furniture Design
The 2nd Works Show of Furniture Design was an open-minded event, aiming at cultivating, presenting and nurturing Chinese original design in the long term. Elites in the furniture design field brought in the edging & foreseeing works and ideas at the exclusive showrooms which offers a wonderful chance for designers, design enthusiasts and professionals to show and communicate with one another.
World Class Outdoor Design
With greater diversification in 2010, the “World Class Outdoor Design Gallery” displayed more outdoor items and decorations by international brands. In the relevant seminar, exports from Europe and America shared their opinions to the cooperation of overseas designers and Chinese manufacturers. The international market trends were revealed during the speeches.
Insightful Forum on Chinese Hometextile Design
The high-level forum gathered the nation-wide experts and top domestic designers for the first time to add a strong academic touch to the trade fair. Professionals communicated their ideas on the trends and features of the home textile industry, offering inspirations to the further development.
Office Environment Theme Pavilion
CIFF-Office Show 2010 created the Office Environment Theme Pavilion under the theme of “Space• Future” for the first time and was highly praised by the industry, infusing the new development philosophy with concepts of humanity, ergonomics, eco-friendly design and inducing broader views of office elements like new technology, light, flooring & facilities into the China’s office furniture industry.
